About us

When School Stops Working, Learning Can Begin Again.

We offer a safe space where the inborn love for learning can be reignited. Not every learner thrives in a traditional classroom.
For many families, the daily struggle with anxiety, poor grades, overwhelm, bullying, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, or a loss of confidence can leave both parents and children feeling frustrated and uncertain about the future. At the Learning Hive, we strive to provide every young person with:
- a sense of belonging and pride,
– autonomy over their body and sensory needs,
– self-paced and self-directed learning,
– individualised therapeutic support and accommodations,
– passionate and affirming Care Collaborators, and
– a safe and nurturing environment.

I never teach my pupils, I only provide the conditions in which they can learn

Why us

The best learning experience

At the Learning Hive, young people are in control of their learning. The set the pace, and they decide what they want to learn, on a daily basis. Every young person deserves an education that works for them. Whether your child needs homeschool support, remedial learning assistance, academic mentoring, or a neurodivergent-friendly environment, we provide a safe space where learners can progress at their own pace, rediscover their confidence, and develop a genuine love for learning. We understand that behind every academic challenge is a young person with unique strengths, talents, dreams, and potential waiting to be unlocked.

Care Collaborators support:

  • Self-Paced Learning
  • Self-Lead Learning
  • Nurturance and guidance
Positive Expectations

Spoon theory helps us understand that some days you can just do more than others. Young people therefore set the expectations they have for themselves, and we will champion these for them.

Creativity

There are so many wonderful ways to learn, and to show knowledge. Care Collaborators will support young people in thinking creatively about ways to grasp the knowledge they desire.

Empathy

We understand that neurodivergent young people, have been through some difficult seasons. They require understanding and support.

Technology

Using the latest technology, we can support young people with their communication preferences, be it for speaking, reading or writing.

Activities

Designed for Individuals Who Need Something Different.

Self-Paced Learning

Young people decide how much content to cover in a day, week, month and year. They can go as fast, or slow, as they need.

Bodily Autonomy

We do not impose restrictions on what to wear, or how to express yourself. We provide a range of seating requirements, so that young people can feel comfortable. Young people may eat, drink, go to the bathroom, and even nap, when they need to. We want our young people to listen to their bodies.

Self-Directed Learning

Young people decide what content they wish to cover. They may opt to do 1 subject per hour, or day, or week, or month.

ADHD Learners

We help learners improve focus, build structure, develop confidence, and succeed academically without sacrificing their creativity and individuality.

Adapted Curriculum

Through CambriLearn, we are able to adapt the curriculum for each young person individually.

Tailored Environment

The Hive is created to feel like a home, away from home. Designed by an occupational therapist and educational psychologist, sensory and emotional needs are taken into account, allowing young people to feel truly comfortable and safe.

Accredited Examinations

Young people have the option to write mock examinations and formal examinations, at the venue, through our partnership with Tutors and Exams.

Homeschooled Learners

We provide guidance, structure, accountability, social interaction, and academic support for homeschooling families.
